Utah Democrats Mourn
the Passing of a Good Friend – Gary Yengich
Salt Lake

The Utah
State Democratic Committee mourns the loss of
Gary Yengich, President of International
Association of Machinists Local 568. Gary died unexpectedly in
Las
Vegas last evening where
he was attending meetings for retirees.
Gary
Yengich was a Democratic nominee for the State
House District 44 in Murray in
1998. His contribution to the Party and our
candidates will be missed. Gary was the
Democratic nominee for the State House District
44 in 1998, and a faithful and dynamic member
of the Utah Democratic
Party.
Utah State
Democratic Party Chairman, Wayne Holland, Jr.
issued the following statement
today:
“Gary Yengich was not just a great and
considerate labor leader; Gary was an
active and dependable member of his community.
He lived much of his life with time spent in
public and community service, and he was a
strong and tireless supporter of others who
did.
“With my sincerest condolences, and
heartfelt prayers for his family, let me state
that Gary was a
dear and loyal friend, and he will be greatly
missed by all who knew
him.”
