LAYTON -- Utah Department of Transportation officials have released a timeline for the nine Top of Utah road projects to be funded with federal stimulus money.

Of the $787 billion included in President Obama's American Recovery Reinvestment Act, Utah will get $213 million, and $143 million of that will be spent on road projects.

The projects mostly consist of bridge repairs, road enhancements and pavement preservation.

Officials say those projects can be started quickly and put people to work to help jump-start the economy.
